Description	:	Jessie Lulu Wilson was born near La Plata, Mo., July 9, 1875. She passed away at Geneva, Neb., May 7, 1952, aged 76 years, 9 months and 28 days. She was the oldest of the five children of James and Lydia Catherine Wilson. Her parents, three brothers, Everett, Clarence and Ellis; and her sister, Estella Wilson Garlock are all deceased. She came to Fillmore County, Nebraska in 1901 to live with an uncle and family in the Chelsea vicinity until her parents moved to Nebraska two years later. She passed away at Geneva, Neb., May 7, 1952, aged 76 years, 9 months and 28 days. She was the oldest of the five children of James and Lydia Catherine Wilson. Her parents, three brothers, Everett, Clarence and Ellis; and her sister, Estella Wilson Garlock are all deceased. She came to Fillmore County, Nebraska in 1901 to live with an uncle and family in the Chelsea vicinity until her parents moved to Nebraska two years later. Jessie Wilson and Charley Rhoda were married May 30, 1905. The two sons, Fred of York, Neb., and Walter of Geneva, neb., survive. Mr. Rhoda passed away October 29, 1927. She is also survived by two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and one aunt. Mrs. Rhoda was considered naturally sympathetic and considerate by her friends. She had been a member of the Congregational Church of Geneva for many years and worked hard and faithfully whenever her health permitted. At the same time, she was ever concerned and hopeful for any other church or organization that would be of benefit to someone or to some community. Thus, she expended her interests and support in her quiet way. The funeral service was held from the Hrubesky-Farmer chapel May 9, 1952, at 2 p.m., and was in charge of Rev. Maude V. Mann, who also sang the one favorite hymn of Mrs. Rhoda, “Rock of Ages.” Miss Marian Humphrey was the accompanist. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal May 15th, 1952 page 9.
