Description	:	Jessie Mae Barker Wilson, 92, of Axton, died Friday, April 18, 2008 at Blue Ridge Rehab Center in Martinsville. She was born in Henry County, Nov. 19, 1915 to Reece Webster Barker and Alfra B. Barker. She retired from Tultex Corporation where she was a seamstress and was a charter member of Central Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Clay Wilson; two brothers, Floyd and Fred Barker; one granddaughter, Lisa Williams; two grandsons, Timothy Overton and Christopher Wilson. Surviving are six daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy W. and Garvin Maxey, Hazel W. and Ronald Overton, Betty W. and David Overton, Brenda W. and Dwight Wilson, Martha W. and Wayne Soots, Jane W. and David Perkins (all of Axton); two sons and daughters-in-law, David "P.D" and Juanita Wilson of Axton, Jerry and Debbie Wilson of Eden, N.C.; 19 grandchildren (including Laura Haley who lived with her grandmother); 32 great-grandchildren (including Zachary Haley); four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Roach of Axton, Violet Newcomb and husband, George of Martinsville; one sister-in-law, Ruth Wells Barker of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Ray "Teacup" Barker and wife Nancy of Martinsville. Funeral services were held Monday, April 21, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Smith and the Rev. Stanley Haak officiating. Interment will follow in the Danview Cemetery in Eden.
