Read More	Jessie Mae Robertson Burnette, 89, of Henderson, NC died Monday, September 21, 2020. Born in Vance County on January 20, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William Edgar Robertson Sr and Lillie Mae Wright Robertson. She was the widow of Frank Wilder Burnette. Jessie Mae was retired from Revco Stores Inc where she served as office manager. She was a member of New Sandy Creek Baptist Church. A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 3:00 p.m., at New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Reverends Tim and Debbie Berry. Surviving are one daughter, Connie B. Brendle, two sons, William Burnette (Phyllis) and Jackie Burnette; one sister, Mildred R. Hicks, one brother, William Edgar Robertson Jr; six grandchildren, Tracey Edmonds (William), Tina Edwards (Buck), Scott Burnette (Caroline), Tonya Kilgore (Kevin), Jessica Todd and Zach Burnette (Amanda); nine great-grandchildren, Jackson Edwards, Beau Burnette, Chapman-Scott Burnette, Allison Kilgore, Andrew Kilgore, Harper Todd, Justyn Pendergrass, Mackenzie Pendergrass, and Wyatt Burnette. She was preceded in death by a brother James Melvin “Jimmy” Robertson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery. All other times they will be at her home. Serving as honorary pall bearers will be her great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 152 Zeb Robinson Road Henderson, NC 27536, or to the Parkinson’s Foundation Carolinas Chapter, 200 SE 1st Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131. The family would like to issue a special thank you to Community Home Care and Hospice, especially Keri Neal and Shirley Richardson, for their compassionate care.
