Description	:	JESSIE MARVINE ROBBINS Jessie Marvine Robbins, 86, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Stoneybrook Retirement Community in Manhattan. She was born Aug. 23, 1918, in Atchison, the daughter of Marvin F. and Ruby V. (Vandiver) Martin. She attended grade school in Atchison and graduated from Williamsburg High School at Williamsburg in 1938. She married Warren Arden Robbins on May 8, 1941, at Callao, Mo. He survives of Westmoreland. Mrs. Robbins served as postmaster in Agricola from 1946-1958 and at Westmoreland from 1972-1979. She and her husband also ran the Robbins General Store... Read More	JESSIE MARVINE ROBBINS Jessie Marvine Robbins, 86, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Stoneybrook Retirement Community in Manhattan. She was born Aug. 23, 1918, in Atchison, the daughter of Marvin F. and Ruby V. (Vandiver) Martin. She attended grade school in Atchison and graduated from Williamsburg High School at Williamsburg in 1938. She married Warren Arden Robbins on May 8, 1941, at Callao, Mo. He survives of Westmoreland. Mrs. Robbins served as postmaster in Agricola from 1946-1958 and at Westmoreland from 1972-1979. She and her husband also ran the Robbins General Store in Agricola for 13 years. She attended the Westmoreland United Methodist Church; was a member of the United Methodist Women in Agricola and Westmoreland; the U.S. Postal League; and the National Association of Postmasters of the United States. She taught Sunday school for more than 60 years and she and her husband volunteered at the Westy Community Care Home, entertaining the residents for 27 years. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nona Nadine Pavlacic. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one sister, Helen Underwood (Morris), Topeka; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Westmoreland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Laura Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Agricola. Mrs. Robbins will lie in state at the Stewart Funeral Chapel of Westmoreland from 1-8 p.m. today.
