Weber officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Agricola. She was born May 28, 1922 to Marvin F. & Ruby (Vandiver) Martin in Cummings. She attended Williamsburg High School with the class of 1939. She worked as a waitress in several Ottawa area restaurants and cafes. She also worked at Bennett's Creamery Co in the ice cream department and in the bakery at Pence IGA both in Ottawa. She retired in the mid-1970's She moved to Pomona from Ottawa where she had lived for many years. On March 9 1939 she married Lee Eldon VanValkenburg. They later divorced. On Sept. 25, 1946 she married Joe Pavlacic. They later divorced. She was preceded in death by a son Keith Eldon VanValkenburg on April 13, 1981. Survivors include two daughters, Judee Thornbrugh, Waverly and Sue Stevenson, Crestview, FL three sons, Gary M VanValkenburg, Ottawa, Harry VanValkenburg, Lawson MO and Dallas VanVaulkenburg Lawrence, two sisters Helen Underwood Topeka, Jessie Robins Westmoreland 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 1 pm today until the service hour at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 Wednesday.--------Ottawa Herald
