OBITUARY. ..."Mrs. Jetta Lenore Tupker, 80, formerly of the Massena and Cumberland areas, died at the Eldora Community Hospital in Eldora Thursday, May 17, 1984. She had been a resident of the Valley View Nursing Home for the last 2 1/2 years. . The daughter of Ben and Cora Bissell Porter, she was born June 27, 1903, in Massena Township and reared near Massena. She was married to Lester Edward Tupker May 20, 1926, in Greenfield and they lived in the Massena and Cumberland areas until moving to Des Moines in 1953. After retiring they moved to Cumberland and Mrs. Tupker moved to Eldora in 1981. She was a member of the Christian Church in Cumberland. . Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Kenton (Zura) Brown of Bridgewater; a grandson, Allen Edward Tupker of Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter, Jule Ellen Tupker of Eldora; a daughter-in-law, Eva Faaborg Tupker of Eldora; a great-grandson, [Michael] Edward Tupker; a great-granddaughter, Desiree Leah Strait; a number of nieces and nephews. . She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978; a son, Howard Edward Tupker in 1983; her parents; a sister, Dolly Hood; three brothers, Hugh, Ralph, Wayne Porter; [and, a great-grandson, Robert Edward Tupker]. . Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Roland Funeral Home, with the Rev. Claude Wood of the United Church of Christ officiating.
