She was born October 12, 1930 in Floyd County, Kentucky to Edward and Hazel (Hicks) Napier. She was an employee of Vernon Manor Children's home 15 years. Jewell was a former member of Middle Street Wesleyan Church in Wabash, liked playing bingo, enjoyed reading, but loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her three daughters, Kimberly (Charles) Schell of Battlecreek, Michigan, Denise (Dean) Scofield of Roseville, California, and Roberta "Kay" Guenin of LaFontaine; six grandsons, C.J. (Carla) Thurston of Marion, Timothy (Natalie) Thurston of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Matthew Schell of Battlecreek, Nathan Fuson and Michael Fuson, both of Roseville, and William Wyat Guenin of LaFontaine; two granddaughters, Kayla Koughn and Hope Lynch, both of LaFontaine; great-grandson, Zachary Thurston of Colorado Springs; step granddaughter, Brandi Quinlan and step grandson, Charles Schell, both of Colorado Springs; four step great granddaughters, Keyli Wagner, Taylor Wagner, Maraila Leaver, and Danae Leaver, all of Marion; three step great grandsons, Conner Quinlan, Zion Quinlan, and Maximillion Quinlan, all of Colorado Springs; four sisters, Carmelita Chaplin and Katrina Napier, both of Wabash, Glenda Faye Allen of Lackey, Kentucky, and Juanita Bentley of Wayland, Kentucky; and two brothers, Joe and Randy Napier, both of Wabash; and a good friend of the family, Peggy Floor of Wabash. Jewell was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Koughn, who died in 1988, her brother, Rondal Napier, and two sisters, Joyce Munexx and Teresa Napier. Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, on Sunday, June 15, 2008 at 4:00PM with Chaplain Don Miller officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Preferred Memorial is New Hope Hospice.
