He passed way October 16, 2009 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, Nebraska at the age of 71 years, 4 months, 23 days. Read More	Jimmie Alan Loop, the son of Guy Abert and Alice Juliette (Clark) Loop was born on May 24, 1938 in Hardy, Nebraska. He passed way October 16, 2009 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, Nebraska at the age of 71 years, 4 months, 23 days. Jimmie attended the Hardy Public School graduating with the class of 1956. He worked for the Peter Kiewet Company in Cheyenne, Wyoming for two years. He served in the United States Air Force from May 1958 to June 1962 when he was honorably discharged. He was stationed in Texas and Bermuda. On June 8th, 1968 he was united in marriage to Marcia Leege. This union was blessed with two sons. They later divorced. Jimmie was employed by the Ideal Cement Company in Superior until it closed. He was a member of Centennial Lutheran Church and the American Legion both of Superior. Jimmie loved to ride around the country watching wildlife. He was a great sports fan. Many of his sons friends would call him Coach because he often helped them train for sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Norman and a brother-in-law, Daryl Allington. Survivors include is sons Guy and wife Heidi Loop and Jerry Loop and two grandchildren, James and Lauren Loop all of Columbus, Nebraska; sisters Joline Allington, Connie Swihart and husband Dee all of Superior, Nebraska; sister-in-law Lorene Loop of Hutchinson, Kansas; nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Dorthea Fairbanks officiating. Reading by Melodee Brunken. Music was "In The Garden" and "Amazing Grace" with Stephanie Thayer as soloist and Marietta Stenson as organist and "All My Tears" sung by Heidi Loop and Erika Peterson. Pallbearers were Gary Loop, Larry Loop, Clark Swihart, Joel Allington, Tony Allington, James Loop, Josh Ryba, Darren Willett, Dan Howe, Steve Hiatt and Brad Allington. Honorary pallbearers were Cecil Lovewell, Jim Rust, Dennis Combs and Don Hancock. Interment with full military rites was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska. A memorial has been established and may go in care of the family. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
