In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Elura Bell Walters, Edith Conley, Willa Stiles and Margaret Harrison; brothers, Charles Sanders and Sonny Sanders and half-brother, Timothy Sanders. He was a member of the National Guard for 6 years; retired construction worker; active member of Prentiss Baptist Church where he served as chairman of Deacon Board for 48 years and Sunday school teacher and superintendent. Kevin Sanders and wife Karen and Rusty Sanders both of Franklin; two brothers, Harris Sanders of Greenville, SC and Jay Sanders of Franklin; two sisters, Betty Owens of Charlotte and Olivia “Tootsie” Reece of Anderson, SC; half-sister, Amelia Trull of Fletcher, NC; one granddaughter, Ashley Sanders; one great grandson, Aidan Holland; aunt, Mildred Swafford of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral:Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Sellers and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial:Prentiss Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Day, Stan Sanders, Joe Friedling, Scottie Reece, Joey Reece and Doug Ledford.
