Hardwick, age 79, husband of Lena Mae Hardwick, passed away July 22, 2010 at Marion Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hardwick was born October 24, 1930 a son of the late Joseph Sumter and the late Mamie Lane Hardwick. He was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church. Hardwick, age 79, husband of Lena Mae Hardwick, passed away July 22, 2010 at Marion Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Hardwick was born October 24, 1930 a son of the late Joseph Sumter and the late Mamie Lane Hardwick. He was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church. He enjoyed his dogs, hunting, and visiting with all his friends at Vaught's Grocery and B&B Midland Market. He was predeceased by one granddaughter Kacie Nicole Stephens, five brothers, John Lacy Hardwick, Bruce Hardwick, Bennie Hardwick, George Hardwick, Pal Hardwick, and one sister, Elizabeth Hardwick. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home, are one son, Dean (Clarissia R.) Hardwick of Galivants Ferry; one daughter, Frankie (Fenton) Stephens of Nichols; one brother, A. D. Hardwick of Mullins; one sister Pauline Best of Galivants Ferry; and 2 grand-daughters. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Rehobeth United Methodist Church with the Rev.
