Description	:	Joan Trelstad, age 80, of Valley City, ND, died Thursday, June 16th at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 22nd at the Lerud Schuldt Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour before the service Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home. Joan Anita Hovde, the daughter of Germund and Clara (Anderson) Hovde, was born January 25, 1936 in Valley City, ND. Joan grew up and attended school in Nome, ND. Joan Anita Hovde, the daughter of Germund and Clara (Anderson) Hovde, was born January 25, 1936 in Valley City, ND. Joan grew up and attended school in Nome, ND. On March 8, 1952 she married Norris Trelstad in Valley City. The couple lived and farmed together near Dazey, ND until their retirement in 1979. They moved into Dazey, ND in 1980. Norris died in 1990 and Joan moved to Valley City in 2001. Joan loved all animals, horses, dogs and birds. Joan loved to spend time with her family, playing cards, board games and taking care of her beloved dog Molly. Joan is survived by her two children, Pat Downs and Scott (Dawn) Trelstad; her twin brother, Gene (Marla) Hovde; ten grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
