Description	:	Lexington-Joan Leah Snider, 86 of Lexington passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Plum Creek Healthcare Community in Lexington. Joan was born March 6, 1932 in Lincoln, Ne. to Harry and Deaetta (Hitchcock) Booth. She attended Teachers College High School in Lincoln, where she was a cheerleader. She met Paul Lavern Snider at a roller skating party and the two were later united in marriage on November 26, 1950 at the Buffalo Grove Presbyterian Church in rural Lexington. Read More	Lexington-Joan Leah Snider, 86 of Lexington passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Plum Creek Healthcare Community in Lexington. Joan was born March 6, 1932 in Lincoln, Ne. to Harry and Deaetta (Hitchcock) Booth. She attended Teachers College High School in Lincoln, where she was a cheerleader. She met Paul Lavern Snider at a roller skating party and the two were later united in marriage on November 26, 1950 at the Buffalo Grove Presbyterian Church in rural Lexington. To this union three children were born Virginia, Steven and Terrie. Joan was very active in the Buffalo Grove church. As a farm wife, she was always helping with the livestock, haying, gardening. She was always on call for chauffeuring the guys’ from one field to another, or to fetch whatever was needed in town a for a quick repair, but most importantly, bringing the guys’ meals when they were working in the fields. She was active in helping the kids with their 4H projects, gardening and raising chickens for eggs and fryers. Joan loved collecting bells from all over the world, working on crossword puzzles, reading, crocheting and enjoyed making clothes for her family. Another one of her loves were Beagle dogs, first with having them on the farm and later just having pictures on calendars of them. Joan leaves to mourn her husband, Paul of Lexington; Son, Steven of Lexington; daughters Virginia (Mike) Commins of Lexington and Terrie (Steve) Debban of Kearney. Four grandchildren; David Commins, Beth Commins of Lexington, Brett {Ashley) Debban of Lincoln and Zach Debban of Omaha. Two great-grandchildren Levi and Adrian and nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Edna and Deaetta, and a brother Harry. It was Joan’s wishes that her body was to be cremated. The family is honoring those wishes. A Memorial Celebration Of Life will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Buffalo Grove Presbyterian Church, in rural Lexington, with Brent Block, Pastoral Associate, officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at the church cemetery. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
