Description	:	Joan Mavis Bleeker was born on July 21, 1939 in Lennox, SD, to Joe and LaVerne (Grayson) Miller. She passed away on March 13, 2022 at the age of 82, surrounded by family. She attended Lennox High School. Joan worked cleaning homes for a handful of families in Sioux Falls. Those families became like family to Joan. Read More	Joan Mavis Bleeker was born on July 21, 1939 in Lennox, SD, to Joe and LaVerne (Grayson) Miller. She passed away on March 13, 2022 at the age of 82, surrounded by family. She attended Lennox High School. Joan worked cleaning homes for a handful of families in Sioux Falls. Those families became like family to Joan. She enjoyed and cherished the time spent with all of them. Joan married Dwaine Bleeker on November 8, 1958. The pair was married for 57 wonderful years. She was a beloved member of Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, where she regularly assisted with fellowship time. Joan was also a member of the Living Hope Community Church planting team. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Dwaine Bleeker, July 2016, her father, Joe Miller, May of 2000; her mother, LaVerne Miller, in May of 2020, her brother Vernon Miller, in May of 2015; and her oldest son, Arvin, in February of 1982. Grateful for having shared her life and happiness are her four adoring children: Lyle (Karen) Bleeker, Arlington, TX, Joy (Chuck) Hamre, Darrell (Stacie) Bleeker and Jan (Jay) Schmidt all of Sioux Falls; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildern; and sister Lois Morgan, Middleton, ID. Those who Joan leaves behind will always cherish her cheerful spirit, positivity, and the many memories of "Ma" as a loving mother and grandmother. Visitation at Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, will be from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 21st, with the family present. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22nd at Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the Lennox Cemetery. Contributor: Maywood4 (FAG #49369085)
