Description	:	Big Timber Pioneer, May 10, 1996 Joan M. Cameron, 71, passed away in the Pioneer Medical Center Friday afternoon, May 3, 1996, following a long illness. She was born in Chico on December 20, 1924, the daughter of Archie and Jean Stebbins. She attended school in Livingston, graduating from Park High. On July 3, 1948, she married Donald Cameron in Big Timber. In 1962 they purchased the Big Timber Cleaners. Mr. Cameron passed away in 1981, and Joanie continued to operate the business until she retired in 1990. She was a member of the First Congregational Church. She is survived... She was born in Chico on December 20, 1924, the daughter of Archie and Jean Stebbins. She attended school in Livingston, graduating from Park High. On July 3, 1948, she married Donald Cameron in Big Timber. In 1962 they purchased the Big Timber Cleaners. Mr. Cameron passed away in 1981, and Joanie continued to operate the business until she retired in 1990. She was a member of the First Congregational Church. She is survived by three daughters, Melanie and her husband, Chip Roe, and Dona Cameron, of Big Timber, and Catherine and her husband, Bill McDonald, of Fairfield, California; a son, Rick and his wife, Libby Cameron of Bozeman; a sister, Justin Tandy of Gardiner; six granchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister, Joyce O'Dell. Funeral services were Tuesday, May 7, 2:00 p.m. from the First Congregational Church with the Rev. Martin Siebert officiating. "On Eagles Wings" was sung by Deanna Novotny, accompanied on the organ by Joanne Stief. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery with Jules Etzold, Chuck Nicholson, Byron Manley, Stuart Ellison, Herb McCauley, and Bill Matthew serving as casket bearers.
