Description	:	Joann R. Glosser, 75, of Ottumwa, died January 27, 2019 at home. She was born April 7, 1943 in rural Blakesburg to Joe and Ruth Hunter Sylvester. Joann married Neil M. Glosser on February 11, 1962 in Blakesburg and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2007. A 1961 graduate of Davis County High School, Joann was a devoted wife and mother. In her later years, she worked part time at HyVee. Joann enjoyed spending her time with friends and family. Those who knew her felt her love and kindness. She and Neil spent many good... Read More	Joann R. Glosser, 75, of Ottumwa, died January 27, 2019 at home. She was born April 7, 1943 in rural Blakesburg to Joe and Ruth Hunter Sylvester. Joann married Neil M. Glosser on February 11, 1962 in Blakesburg and he preceded her in death on March 24, 2007. A 1961 graduate of Davis County High School, Joann was a devoted wife and mother. In her later years, she worked part time at HyVee. Joann enjoyed spending her time with friends and family. Those who knew her felt her love and kindness. She and Neil spent many good years enjoying camping, dancing and music. Surviving are her daughters, Denise (Richard) Goers of Menomonie, WI and Kim (Dean) Thompson of Burlington; a sister, Joyce Sammons of Ottumwa and sister-in-law, Donna Sylvester of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Frank and Tom Sylvester and grandson, Eric Max Goers. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Thursday with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to Hopewell Church. Published on January 28, 2019 Ottumwa Courier
