Description	:	Job G. Smith, son of Daniel and Elizabeth Perrigo Smith, was born circa 1810 in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. On March 26, 1829, he married Elizabeth Sullivan in Harrison County, Ohio, and then moved to Morgan County, Ohio. Job purchased 219 acres of land in Appanoose County, Iowa, on April 4, 1856. From this land, Job and Elizabeth gave one acre of land for the purpose of a grave yard and school lot forever, April 22, 1870. They had the following children: John P., Sarah M., Mary Ann, Daniel W., Thomas H., Samuel Harvey and Martha. Died, at his residence, near Walnut City, May 29th, 1873, Mr. Job G. Smith, 63 years of age. Deceased had been a resident of Appanoose county for sixteen years, and a faithful member of the Methodist church for forty-seven years. He was conscious to the last and said his way was perfectly clear. He leaves an aged companion and five children. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A.R. Jones, attended by a large concourse of people.
