Sep 1886. By Apr 1900, Elizabeth had died in the Oklahoma. Soon after her death, Job returned with her body for burial to Oskaloosa, KS. On Sept 11, 1901, Job was admitted he to US National Home for Disable Soldiers in Leavenworth, KS, diagnosed as having dropsy. Admissions documents indicate he was a widower, 58 yrs old; 5'8" with dark complexion, dark eyes and gray hair. He was Protestant and a painter by trade, living in Oskaloosa, KS. Job spent 6-1/2 yrs in the Soldier's Home. He was discharged July 2, 1901 only to be readmitted 3 months later on Nov 27, 1901. Job died in the Soldier's Home March 27, 1909. Medical records also state that his bodied was delivered to James W. Sutton, Undertaker in Leavenworth, for shipment to Oskaloosa for burial under the order of his son, John Eugene Trapp. Job died of septicemia.
