| Description | : | Job Throckmorton was the son of James & Jane Throckmorton, born in Greene County, Pennsylvania, where he grew to manhood and became skilled in the trade of carpentry. He married Sarah Burt on 8 Jul 1844 in Washington County, Pennsylvania. In 1854 the family moved to Ohio where Job worked at the carpenter trade for two years. When they moved to Fremont County in 1856 he began business as a contractor and builder. He was instrumental in helping to build many of the first buildings erected in Sidney.
