Description	:	Joe was my brother and I loved him very much. We grew up at Converde SC. At the time of his death he lived at Clifton,SC.He was survived by his wife, the former Lucille Messer, a daughter Deborah Jordon and her husband Frank, another daughter, Renita Messer and her husband Rick, a son, Eddie Garrett and wife Karen, also a grandson, Will. He had four step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. He was also servived by three sisters, Doris haynes and her husband CB, Beatrice Crocker and her husband LLoyd, and Hilda Littlejohn and her husband Beverly.... He was predeaceased by his parents David and Gladys Garrett and a brother Carl Garrett.His family was the love of his life. He always enjoyed when they came by. He looked forward to his sisters coming and the get together we always had. I will always remember the trips to the mountains when Doris, CB, Beaty, Lloyd , and myself stayed up there for a week, especially the games of carpet golf we played, which was so much fun. We always had a good laugh at these games. He was willing to go along with anything the rest of us wanted to do.I kidded him about laying on the couch so much but he was very much spoiled by his wife,his children, and all three of his sisters. That's what brothers are for, Right? He would do anything to help older people out. He got so much enjoyment out of helping them. I'm sure he is missed by a lot people. Rest in peace brother. I love you.
