Description	:	Mrs. Hannah Hinders of Holland passed away at 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, at the Long Term Care Unit of the Grundy County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held at the Christian Reformed Church in Holland on Thursday, January 22, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. I. W. Meuzelaar officiated. The casket bearers... Read More	Mrs. Hannah Hinders of Holland passed away at 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, at the Long Term Care Unit of the Grundy County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held at the Christian Reformed Church in Holland on Thursday, January 22, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. I. W. Meuzelaar officiated. Mrs. Henry Siefken and George Heronimus sang "Room At the Cross" and "How Great Thou Art." They were accompanied by Mrs. Larry Stahl, who also played selected numbers for the prelude and postlude. The casket bearers were Dennis Hinders, Curtis Hinders, Randy Hinders, Alan Hinders, Don Smith, Andy Nielson and Leslie Meester. The ushers were Edward Schoolman and Daryl Pruin. Mrs. Edward Schoolman and Mrs. Harm Itzen were in charge of the floral arrangements. Interment was in the Holland Cemetery, Holland. Relatives and friends were invited to return to the church following the committal services for a period of Christian fellowship and refreshments. Mrs. Hinders was born on December 8, 1895, on a farm near Allison in Butler county, the daughter of Reike and Anna Hoodjer Lindaman. She attained the age of 91 years, one month and 10 days. She grew up on a farm near Allison and on March 31, 1917, at Holland, she was united in marriage to William Hinders, Sr. After their marriage they lived and farmed in the Holland area from 1917 to 1955, when they moved and made their home in Holland. Her husband passed away on January 16, 1978. She was a long time member of the Holland Christian Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, John Lindaman, two sisters, Tillie Bockes and Grace Klar, and by one grandson, Douglas Hinders. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Leola) Hook of Grundy Center, Mrs. Herold (Ivadean) Rademaker of Stout, and Mrs. Wallace (Marlys) Wilts of Holland; three sons, William Hinders, Jr. of Holland, Marvin Hinders of Reinbeck, and Raymond Hinders of Holland; three sisters, Mrs. Dena Long of Grundy Center, Mrs. Anna Thomas of Fort Madison and Mrs. Minnie Klunder of Clarksville; two brothers, George and Arnold Lindaman, both of Parkersburg; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established. The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center, was in charge of the funeral arrangements. (The Grundy Register, Grundy Center, IA, January 29, 1987)
