Funeral services were at 10:30 on Tuesday, July 20 at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church. Rev. Peggy Ogden-Howe officiated at the services. Interment was in the Wayne Cemetery. Johanna Marie (Mary) Lubben was born January 17, 1903 in Cass Township in Jones County. She was the daughter of John Albert Lubben and Anna Marie Folkers-Lubben. She received her education in the Cass Number 5 rural school. She was married to Edward Husmann November 1, 1922 at Wayne. The couple made their home on the William Folkert's farm at Cass Center until the death of her husband on December 28, 1969. Mary was a lifetime member of the Wayne Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving are four daughters, Lorna (Mrs. Joe) Ruley of Oxford Junction, Eloise (Mrs. Lester) Rickelfs of Anamosa, Loretta (Mrs. Ronald) Stahlberg of Waverly, Mary (Mrs. James) Murray of Oxford Junction; and 2 sons, John Lubben of Urbandale, Iowa and James Lubben of Los Angeles, California. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, and a brother Lawrence Lubben of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parent; her husband; one son, Robert; one daughter, Alice, four sisters and three brothers. Casket bearers were Marvin Jacobs, James Askam, Garth Graft, Richard Lubben, Loren Lubben and Ed Lubben
