Description	:	Many thanks to FAG contributor Kathy Monical (#49101662) for the following information: Johanna Albertine Plautz, nee Oldenburg, was born on the 19th day of February, 1859, in Neuenkirchen, Pomerania, Germany. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In the early fall of 1880 she came into this country, and a few months later on the 5th of November, was joined in holy wedlock with Mr. Richard Plautz, with whom she happily lived up to the time of his death, which occurred about four years ago. Read More	Many thanks to FAG contributor Kathy Monical (#49101662) for the following information: Johanna Albertine Plautz, nee Oldenburg, was born on the 19th day of February, 1859, in Neuenkirchen, Pomerania, Germany. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In the early fall of 1880 she came into this country, and a few months later on the 5th of November, was joined in holy wedlock with Mr. Richard Plautz, with whom she happily lived up to the time of his death, which occurred about four years ago. Her marriage was blessed with ten children, five of whom died in early childhood. The deceased had made her home with her husband and children on a farm, about four miles east of Garland, where she had lived continuously up to the spring of 1922, when her husband retired from the farm and moved to Garland. Since the death of her husband in January 1927 the deceased's health began to fail. Severe attacks of bronchitis, to which she was subject, drew from her every sap of vitality. Naturally her body became weakened and finally so exhausted, that hope for recovery could no longer be entertained. Last Sunday morning about 6 o'clock, it pleased Almighty God to deliver her from this life. Mrs. Plautz obtained to the age of 72 years, 1 month and 23 days. She leaves to mourn her departure, three sons, Arthur, Bernhardt and Robert; two daughters, Amanda and Anna; one son-in-law, Mr. Rudolph Pohlman; three daughters-in-law; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Schultz and Mrs. Robert Krieser; a number of other relatives and many friends. Last Wednesday afternoon, April 15, her remains were laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery, south of town, Rev. T. Joeckel of Zion's Lutheran church officiating.
