Description	:	Johanna Schumacher was born Liechentine, Germany on June 10th, 1848. She departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Collinsworth, Lincoln, Nebraska on July 23, 1926, age 78 years, one month and 14 days. She came to the United States of America with her parents when fourteen years of age, settling at Ashland, Cass county, Illinois in 1862. She was untied in marriage with Nicholas Wullenwaber on February 7th, 1869 at Minier, Illinois. Read More	Johanna Schumacher was born Liechentine, Germany on June 10th, 1848. She departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Collinsworth, Lincoln, Nebraska on July 23, 1926, age 78 years, one month and 14 days. She came to the United States of America with her parents when fourteen years of age, settling at Ashland, Cass county, Illinois in 1862. She was untied in marriage with Nicholas Wullenwaber on February 7th, 1869 at Minier, Illinois. To this union were born seven children, two boys and five girls; one boy, Henry departed this life in infancy. Mr. and Mrs. Wullenwaber came to Nebraska in 1877 settling in Seward County upon a farm which place was their home until 1893. They retired from farming and moved to Seward where they made their home until both departed this life. Mr. Wullenwaber passed away on September 16, 1922. Mrs. Wullenwaber was confirmed when a child into the Lutheran church in Germany, but at the time of her marriage was affiliated with the German Evangelical church and remained in that branch of the Christian faith until her death. Mrs. Wullenwaber was a splendid example of Christian womanhood, she was the type of Christian whose life is always stimulative, and is fruitage is always the result of abiding in the true vine Jesus Christ. In the years if her life and work in Seward and vicinity she gathered about her many beautiful and lasting friendships and was dearly loved by all who knew her. She leaves to meet her some time future, six children, five girls as follows: Mrs. Sophia Freitag of York, Nebr.; Mrs. Mary Brainard of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado; Mrs. Minnie Blankenship pf Seward, Nebr.; Mrs. Augusta Pate of Rockwell City, Iowa; Mrs. Bertha Collinsworth of Lincoln, Nebr.; one son, F. N. Wullenwaber of Seward. Four sisters; Mrs. Fredericka Reiser, Mrs. Augusta Reiser of Ashland, Ill; Mrs. Louise Timian of Delevan, Ill; Mrs. Lena Brinkmeyer of Seward, Nebraska; six grandchildren and a host of friends and acquaintances. The funeral services were held at her home, 345 north 5th St., Seward, Nebr., Tuesday afternoon, July 27th conducted by Rev. D. A. McCullough, pastor of the Seward Methodist Episcopal church.
