Description	:	Mrs. Oscar E.Hover, pioneer resident of Greenwood County, who had resided in Eureka since 1938, passed away at her home here Thursday, December 8, 1919. Johannah S. Norbeck was born January 26, 1880 in Galva, Illinois. At the age of three she moved to Osage County, Kansas with her parents, where she grew to womanhood. On September 5, 1903, she was united in marriage to Oscar E. Hover at the Lutheran paranage in Kansas City, Kansas, Rev. Robt. E. Wolf read the service. Read More	Mrs. Oscar E.Hover, pioneer resident of Greenwood County, who had resided in Eureka since 1938, passed away at her home here Thursday, December 8, 1919. Johannah S. Norbeck was born January 26, 1880 in Galva, Illinois. At the age of three she moved to Osage County, Kansas with her parents, where she grew to womanhood. On September 5, 1903, she was united in marriage to Oscar E. Hover at the Lutheran paranage in Kansas City, Kansas, Rev. Robt. E. Wolf read the service. From Kansas City the Hovers moved to Hamilton where their two sons, William and Oscar, Jr. were born. In 1925 they moved to Kansas City, Missouri and in 1938 they came to Eureka where they have made their home since, She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Oscar E. Hover, two sons, William and Oscar, Jr. Hover, both of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Mes. Nettie Lafferty of Osage City, Kansas and Mrs. Minnie Auhfield of San Diego, California; her four brothers, Oscar and David of Osage City; Robert of Bloomington, Illinois; and Emil of ElCajon, California; and five grandchildren. Her parents, one sister and one brother preceded her in death. She leaves a host of friends for to knew her was to love her. She was a member of Christ's Lutheran Church in Eureka and the anxiiliary of the United Spanish War Veterans of Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral service was held from the Baird Funeral Home Saturday, December 10, at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Robert Gaston of York, Nebraska, her former pastor assisted by Rev. Arthur Angersbach, conducted the service. She was laid to rest in the Hover lot in Greenwood Cemetery. From Eureka Herald 15 December 1949 page 1
