Description	:	Frederick died after a short illness with fever. He was buried in the little country graveyard on the hill near the house. Later his remains were removed to Oaklawn Cemetery and laid by his wife and daughter Sofia. Frederick was a good man - quiet, peaceable, industrious, honest, Godfearing, a reader, a collector of curious and historic articles. He was fond of his pipe, usually a long-stemmed one, and took great pleasure in walking. He made friends of the neighbors and businessmen of the town. Source: Wabash County History Bicentennial Edition 1976 Ten children were born to Henrietta and Frederick, two of whom died in infancy, and a daughter, Matilda, died at age 15. The other children were: Sofia, Frederick Adolf; August Frederick, Charles Frederick, Gustav Adolf, Joanna, and Ernest Augustus. They came to America in 1855.
