Following the ceremony the newlyweds left for a visit with relatives of the bride in Webster county. They expect to return to Hooper by Sunday. The solemnization of this ceremony united the lives of two well known and popular members of the younger set of our city, who are blessed with a legion of friends and among these friends good wishes for their welfare and prosperity are abundant and sincere. Mrs. Dau is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.W.Hoefner and has grown to womanhood in this locality. She is a graduate of our high school and following graduation fitted herself for the teaching profession and the past few years has been a successful teacher in the schools of the county ever popular with the pupils and patrons of the districts in which she has taught. A girl of attractive personality, possessed of enthusiasm and ambition, Mrs. Dau has endeared herself to her friends who rejoice in her happiness. Mr. Dau the only son of Mr. and Mrs. W.G. J. Dau, is also a native of this locality, and is known to all of us as a young man of exemplary character and trustworthiness. During the World War he served in the air service of the army but the end came before he had the chance to go across the waters. He is engaged with his father in the automobile business and by his close application to business, his courtesy and efficiency makes and keeps patrons for the firm. They will make their home in the west part of town in the residence that Herman Kuehn recently bought and which he has just thoroughly remodeled.
