Description	:	John "Jack" A. Sawyer, 80, of St. Edward, NE, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Fullerton Care Center in Fullerton, NE. John “Jack” Albert Sawyer, the son of Randolph and Frances (Kamin) Sawyer, was born on June 19, 1936 at Albion, NE. Jack was baptized into the Catholic faith and attended school at St. Edward Public Schools where he graduated from in 1954. On November 16, 1955, Jack enlisted in the United States Air Force in Omaha, NE and was honorably discharged on September 10, 1956 at Sheppard Air Force Base, TX. John “Jack” Albert Sawyer, the son of Randolph and Frances (Kamin) Sawyer, was born on June 19, 1936 at Albion, NE. Jack was baptized into the Catholic faith and attended school at St. Edward Public Schools where he graduated from in 1954. On November 16, 1955, Jack enlisted in the United States Air Force in Omaha, NE and was honorably discharged on September 10, 1956 at Sheppard Air Force Base, TX. Following his military service, Jack was united in marriage to Marcia Wilcox and following their marriage they lived in St. Edward. Jack was later united in marriage to Karen Kearney and following their marriage, also continued to live in St. Edward. Jack worked as a truck driver where he hauled bees, and later worked for the coop gas station in St. Edward as well as the Bottle Barn. Jack enjoyed operating his recycling business, and will be remembered for his love of drinking beer, whiskey, and smoking cigars. Jack is survived by two sisters: Kathleen (Stanley) Modelski of St. Edward, NE and Diana (Ronnie) Schroeder of Madison, NE; as well as seven nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives, and friends.
