Description	:	John A. Kluiter, 70, a resident of Janesville, died early Thursday morning, April 15, 1976 at the Waverly Municipal Hospital where he had been a patient for one day. John was born on Apri1 16, 1906 in Holland, the son of Albert and Stelna Klausen Kluiter. He came to the United States in 1907 with his parents and they settled in Butler County where they farmed in various areas. John was born on Apri1 16, 1906 in Holland, the son of Albert and Stelna Klausen Kluiter. He came to the United States in 1907 with his parents and they settled in Butler County where they farmed in various areas. On March 3, 1934 he was united in marriage to Gwendelyn Benton at the Burton Ave. Baptist Church in Waterloo. The couple started farming southeast of Shell Rock and moved to their present farm south of Janesville in 1945. Ill health forced Mr. Kluiter to retirement from farming in 1972, but he had remained on the farm since that time. In 1932, while attending meetings at the Gospel Hall in Caster held by Willie Gierson, John accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior. He is survived by his wife Gwendelyn; one son, William of Waterloo; one grandson, Andrew; four brothers, Sebo, Parkersburg, Chris, Allison, Jerry, Shell Rock, Albert Jr, Clarksville; and three sisters, Mrs. Harm Harms, Bristow, Mrs. Jake Jacobs, Allison, and Mrs. John Kramer, Shell Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Janet Grace. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 17, 1:30 p.m. with Harm Harms officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Shell Rock.
