He was born June 22, 1925, at Burlington, the son of Louie Martin and Pauline Bertha Jauernig Decker. He married Margaret Delores Bowman June 22, 1963, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Burlington. She survives, of the home. He was born June 22, 1925, at Burlington, the son of Louie Martin and Pauline Bertha Jauernig Decker. He married Margaret Delores Bowman June 22, 1963, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Burlington. She survives, of the home. He grew up at Burlington and moved with his family to the farm north of Burlington when he was 14 years old. The farm has been in the family for 108 years and he farmed it for 71 of those years. He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Louis and Justin Decker; and three sisters Margaret, Marie and Clara. Besides his wife, he is survived by numerous nephews and nieces. There will be a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday with visitation following at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Burlington. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Burlington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Heart Foundation or the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, PO Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839.
