Read More	NUN, JOHN ANTON—John Anton Nun, the fifth of seven children, born to Wenzel Anton and Dena Mae (Peterson) Nun, was born on April 19, 1911, on a farm southeast of Geneva. John passed from this life on Friday, July 23, 1976, at St. Elizabeth hospital in Lincoln, at the age of 65 years, 3 months and 4 days. In his early life, John attended rural school and graduated from Geneva high in 1930. While attending high school he met, and later married Maxine Doupnik, the daughter of Robert and Anna Doupnik of Exeter, Neb. To this union were born three sons, Richard John of Westland, Mich., Rodney James of Chamblee, Ga., and Rex Jay of Lincoln, Neb. John devoted the intermediate years of his life to farming, the rearing of his children and being a good neighbor and friend. Shortly after his sons had married and established their own lives, his wife Blanche passed away. John for the first time in his life found himself alone on the farm. The third phase of John’s life began at this point. He was united in marriage to Mary Fausnaugh, and moved from the farm, which had become a physical burden to him and established his home in Geneva. He worked for the city of Geneva until his passing. John was preceded in death by a younger sister, Velma Irene; both his mother and father, and his first wife. Survivors include his wife, Mary; his sons and their families, Richard and Marion, Michelle and Brandon; Rodney and Sharol, timothy and Jennifer; and Rex and Nancy, Jeffery, James, and Jared; his step-son Mark Fausnaugh, and step-daughter, Lynn Fausnaugh, both of Columbus, O.; his brothers and sisters, Clarence Nun, Mrs. Harry (Bernice) Fox, Mrs. Earl (Hazel) Ackland and Ralph Nun, all of Geneva, and Mrs. Leonard (DeVee) Bonner of Selah, Wash.; and a host of relatives and friends. Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, at the Farmer & Son funeral home, with Rev. H. Paul Smith, officiating. Pallbearers were Robert Ackland, Clarence Nun Jr., Mark Fausnaugh, Robert Nun, Deryl Fox and Robert Soukup. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal 29 July 1976 page 5.
