Description	:	John B. Morris, a former resident of Villisca died July 17, at the Grande Ronde hospital in La Grande, Oregon, at the age of 93 years. Funeral services were held in LaGrande, Oregon, July 20th with the Rev. Gene Robinson conducting the services. The body was shipped to the Sutphen Funeral Home in Villisca for burial in the Villisca Cemetery. Graveside services were conducted Monday, July 22, at the cemetery by Rev. Paul C. Ellis. He was married September 1, 1891 in Villisca, Iowa to Amelia R. Fessler and to this union one daughter was born, Mrs. Florence Richardson of La Grande, Oregon. For several years they lived in various towns in southern Iowa, where Mr. Morris was Superintendent of schools. In 1907 after retiring from his school duties the family moved to Villisca where they lived until December 1933 when Mrs. Morris died. Mr. Morris spent the next 13 years in Portland, Oregon and in 1947 went to La Grande, Oregon, where he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Florence Richardson of La Grande, Oregon and a grandson, Morris F.
