Description	:	John B. Riggin Dead. John B. Riggin, aged about 68 years, and one of the most highly respected citizens of Crisfield, died suddenly of a heart attack or acute indigestion, while working on his little farm on the Rayfield Road, about noon last Monday. Mr. Riggin complained of a severe pain over his heart, and his wife, who was with him at the time, went to a nearby house to get something to relieve it. Riggin, aged about 68 years, and one of the most highly respected citizens of Crisfield, died suddenly of a heart attack or acute indigestion, while working on his little farm on the Rayfield Road, about noon last Monday. Mr. Riggin complained of a severe pain over his heart, and his wife, who was with him at the time, went to a nearby house to get something to relieve it. When she returned a few moments later she found her husband lifeless. The deceased was a lifelong resident of Crisfield, and a good citizen in every respect. He was a christian man, of kind, charitable disposition, and enjoyed the respect and the good wishes of the entire community. In his passing, the community has lost a fine character. Funeral services were held from his late home on Broadway Wednesday afternoon, conducted by his pastor, Rev. J. L. Johnson, and interment was in the Crisfield cemetery. Peninsula Council, Jr. O. U. A. M., and Annamessex Lodge, K. of P., to which he belonged, were represented at the funeral. Mr. Riggin is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Riggin, one sister and one half-brother. The Crisfield Times, October 18, 1924 John B. Riggin was the son of James Riggin and Mary Dize. John B. Riggin, 24, married Annie R. Sterling, 18, on 19 May 1881 in Somerset County, MD.
