Description	:	John Berry McGreer, son of George and Eliza McGreer, was born April 29, 1856. He died at the state hospital at Hastings, November 2, 1936, aged 80 years, 6 months and 4 days. Mr. McGreer spent his boyhood near Utica, Ia., the place of his birth. He was married to Margaret McCullough in 1887, to which union were born three children. One daughter, Mrs. Irving St. John, lives at Lushton, and a son, Coyle McGreer, lives at Big Springs, Neb. Read More	John Berry McGreer, son of George and Eliza McGreer, was born April 29, 1856. He died at the state hospital at Hastings, November 2, 1936, aged 80 years, 6 months and 4 days. Mr. McGreer spent his boyhood near Utica, Ia., the place of his birth. He was married to Margaret McCullough in 1887, to which union were born three children. One daughter, Mrs. Irving St. John, lives at Lushton, and a son, Coyle McGreer, lives at Big Springs, Neb. Soon after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. McGreer moved from their Iowa home to Bradshaw, where they lived until 1904, when they moved to Big Springs, where Mrs. McGreer died December 8, 1917. He was married to Mrs. Ida B. Huston June 12, 1930, who survives him. During his six years of residence in Geneva, Mr. McGreer made many friends, particularly in church circles. He was converted early in life, uniting with the Baptist Church later upon moving to Nebraska, transferring his membership to the Methodist Church of which he has been a member since. He was through more than fifty years an earnest and devoted member, giving the church first consideration in his thoughts and activities. So passes another good man. he is survived by his wife, the daughter and son and three grandchildren, an aged sister in Iowa and many friends. Funeral services will be conducted by his pastor, Rev. W. H. Shoaf, at the Geneva Methodist Church Thursday afternoon, November 5, at 2 o'clock. the Methodist men's quartet will sing old hymns, favorites of Mr. McGreer.
