Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 11 Nov 1953 Resident of County for 44 Years Died Monday John Bishop, a resident of Chouteau county for 44 years passed away at the St. Clare hospital in this city Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. He had been in poor health for the past several months. Mr. Bishop was born on Nov. 9, 1869, at Amherst, Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Ada Hale, in Wisconsin, on April 11, 1906. The family came to Montana in 1909 and Mr. Bishop took up a homestead on the Shonkin where they resided until retiring from the ranch about ten years ago when they moved to Geraldine, where they have since resided. He is survived by his wife; by three sons, James D. of Shonkin, John of Square Butte, and Robert H. of Fort Benton; and by one daughter, Marjorie Courtnage of Geraldine. Also surviving are one brother, Leslie T. Bishop of Square Butte, and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Bishop was a member of the Geraldine Methodist church. Funeral services will be held from the community church in Geraldine on Thursday, Nov. 12th, a 2:00 p.m., and will be conducted by Rev. Karl Graf, pastor. Burial will be in the family plot in Geraldine cemetery. The relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. --- Parents: John Bishop and Christiana Grunland
