Description	:	John Brockman Jr Our neighbor St. Stephen's has been plunged into deepest grief as the present week has witness the laying away of two of her best sons. Last Saturday evening word was sent out that Spanish influenza had claimed another victim, and that John, second son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Brockman had died of Pneumonia after about one week's illness. Deceased, who has a brother Henry, in the U.S. army in France, had been called in the draft for service in the latter part of the present month. John Brockman, Jr. was born in St. Stephen's, Dec 10, 1897, and died Oct. 12, 1918, aged 20 years, 10 mos, 2 days. He is survived by his father and mother, elder brother, Henry and sisters, Mrs. Joseph Hoelting and Miss Louisa. The family had suffered severely from influenza and only the father was able to attend the funeral, which was held in the open in the cemetery where a temporary altar had been arranged.
