Rebecca was James' first wife, and I believe they had 4 children before she died in 1853 and was buried in Price's Corners Cemetery, in East Garafraxa, Dufferin Co. James married again, to Charlotte Jane Hill, and had another 11 children. James died in 1883 in Erin Twp, Wellington Co., and is buried in Grove Cemetery in E. Garafraxa. James Nevills was the eldest son of Jacob Nevills b abt 1785 in Sussex Co., New Jersey. He was married to Nancy (1790-aft 1851). Jacob fought in the War of 1812 with the 2nd Lincoln Militia. He had several properties in West Flamborough, Wentworth Co., but I don't know where or when he died, though it was after 1861. Jacob and Nancy had 10 children. Jacob Nevills was one of the children of James Nevills and Eve Deshiro(?) who came to Upper Canada in 1787 with 5 children, and had 4 more after arriving. They were granted property in Thorold Twp.
