Deceased was born in this county February 8, 1871, a son of the late Calvin and Susan Teets Uphold. He had resided in Friendsville until moving to his daughter’s home a month ago. Mr. Uphold was father to the man and grandfather to the two boys who drowned in Deep Creek Lake on July 4th a few years ago. Va.; one half-brother, Elzy Uphold, Morgantown, W. Va. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at two o’clock from Blooming Rose Church, with Rev. George W. Simpson, Loch Lynn, officiating.
