Read More	John Clifford FROSTAD (1933 - 2017) FROSTAD, John Clifford Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend went on to be with the Lord on January 15, 2017. Born at home in Marcus, Washington on September 3, 1933, to John and Thelma Frostad, he was the eleventh of thirteen children. John was raised on the family farm and attended Marcus High School where he was a teammate for a state qualifying basketball team. After graduating, he was drafted into the army and served two years, including one year stationed in Germany. He has been happily married for sixty-one years to Lorraine (Burge) Frostad. They raised three children together. Shortly after their marriage, John started the musical group The Golden Mountain Boys, a band of brothers and other family members. Their music was enjoyed and appreciated by many. He later played as Johnny Frostad and the Country Kings. John wrote and recorded songs such as Buggy Wacky and I'm Coming Home. John had several jobs over the years to support the family. His favorite job was a school bus driver for the Central Valley School District, where he worked until he retired. He also enjoyed applying his skills in woodworking and remodeling to serve as the building Deacon for his church. John has been a devout Christian and has always cherished his family as well as his musical heritage. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Thelma Frostad; his two sisters, Elsie Kiefer and Ruby Fosback; and nine brothers, Arthur, Harold, Martin, Edward, Elmer, Walter, Norman, Ronald, and Lawrence Frostad. John is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Spokane); their three children: Heidi Helen (Frostad) Spell (Louisiana), Thelma Kelly (Frostad) Malcolm and husband Jeff (Spokane), and John Jasper Frostad (Spokane); nine grandchildren: Amanda (Spell) Young, Jacob Spell and his wife Leyla, John Bouscher, Madison, Haley, and Mikey Malcolm, John C., Trinity and Justice Frostad; and one brother, Melvin Frostad and his wife Dixie. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 27th, at the Valley Bible Church, 3021 South Sullivan in Spokane Valley.
