Description	:	John Crawford was a staunch Presbyterian and in 1855 set aside part of his farm for a church and burial grounds, which today is Crawford's Cemetery. John erected a headstone for his wife, Janet Bryce,in Plot #178. Only a wood stake was put in place for John Crawford after his death. I was next to his wife's headstone. It had only his name "John Crawford inscribed on it"(no birth or death date).(See photo) A marker was placed in his name June 2006, by the Crawford Cemetery Board and it is inscribed: "John Crawford founder of Crawford Cemetery" At... His will was registered July 5, 1867 and was executed July 10, 1872 (thus abt. 1872).
