He was born on Feb. 29, 1883, in Jones county, Iowa, the son of Abram and Mahala Eye Kennison and on Jan. 3, 1907, was married to Miss Ada Adlee Thrasher. Surviving are his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Violet Budnick of Dearborn, Mich.; four sons, Raymond, Carl of Anabel; Frank of Lakenan and Floyd of Lakenan and two brothers, Charles and Fred of Arnolds Park, Iowa. A son Lavern preceded him in 1910. The home was made north of Clarence until the family moved to near Shelbina in 1942. The body rested in the Barkelew & Davis Funeral Home at Clarence until the funeral hour. Last rites were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Hagers Grove Christian church with the Rev. Howard Merchant officiating. Burial was made in Maplewood cemetery at Clarence. Casket bearers were Alvin Danner, Frank Shores, Al Airsmon, Claude Snell, Wilbur Snell and Virgil Snell.
