Description	:	John E. Taylor, 61, of 53 East Beau street, Washington, died at the Canonsburg General Hospital Monday, Sept. 4, at 2:59 a. m., following a brief illness. He was the husband of Ethel M. Riddle Taylor, who died March 19, 1943. Mr. Taylor had apparently been in his usual health until last Saturday when he became ill in Canonsburg and he was taken to the home of his son, William Taylor. Riddle Taylor, who died March 19, 1943. Mr. Taylor had apparently been in his usual health until last Saturday when he became ill in Canonsburg and he was taken to the home of his son, William Taylor. His condition became worse Sunday and he was removed to the Canonsburg Hospital where death occurred. He was a member of one of the pioneer families of Washington county. A son of the late Harry W., and Priscilla Weaver Taylor, he was born in North Strabane Township on Dec. 8, 1888. He was a life long member of Chartiers Hill Presbyterian Church, a member of the choir, and was a life-long resident of Canonsburg vicinity with the exception of the past five years when, he resided in Washington. For almost five years he had been an employe of the Fernell Bros., Hardware store, Washington, and lately was an employe of the Hardy & Rankin Company, here. Before coming to Washington he was an employe of Van Eman's Hardware store, here. Surviving are three sons: William W., and David R. Taylor, both of Canonsburg; and John Taylor, Jr., Ruthfred Acres; also four grandchildren; one brother, Charles Taylor, Canonsburg; and two sisters: Mrs. Clyde Fulton, Canonsburg, R. D.; and Mrs. Robert McClure, Washington. Friends are being received at the Hinton and Griffith Funeral Home, where services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m., in charge of Rev. W. R.
