Description	:	John E. "Jack" Fennema, 61, of Alton died May 20 in a hospital at Orange City of a long illness. Services were at 10:30 a.m. May 23 in the First Reformed Church at Alton. The REv. Clarence Greving officiated. Burial was in Nassau Townschip Cemetery near Alton with the Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City in charge. Mr. Fennema was born April 12, 1914 to Henry J. He was a member of the First Reformed Church. Survivors include the widow; a son, Robert of Lawton; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Marianne) Foster of Omaha, Mrs. John (Jean) Peterson of Ames and Mrs. Horace (Virginia) Wells of Des Moines; four grandchildren and a brother, William of Humboldt. Pallbearers were: E.J. Aalbers, Henry Schuller, James Moen, Floyd Templeton, Paul Lubbers and Dave Peterson. Music was a duet by Raymond Schreur and Geraldine Schreur singing "Until Then" and Mrs. Harvey Hofmeyer sang "In My Father's House Are Many Mansions." Organist was Mrs. Ray Wierda.
