Read More	Resident of South Russell Precinct, Otoe County The Syracuse Journal, The Journal and Democrat Consolidated May 1, 1917 Dec. 1922 OBITUARY OF JOHN MUELLER John Mueller was born May 11, 1839, at Henfield, Hessen, Germany. He came from the country of his birth to Nebraska City, Nebr., in the early sixties and on June 26, 1879 was united in marriage to Miss Maggie Long. To this union were born seven children, the oldest, a son, having died at the age of four years. Mr. Mueller has resided in this community for many years, respected by all who knew him. He was a good neighbor and friend and a modest unassuming man. He is survived by his wife and six children, Mrs. Mary Davis of Santa Anna, Calif.; Mrs. Emma Brugman of Omaha, Nebr.; Frank, of Albion, Nebr.; Mrs. John Arnold of Syracuse, Nebr.; and Fred and Rose who are at home; and eleven grand children. Funeral services for Mr. Mueller were held at the Catholic church in Syracuse [St. Paulinus], Saturday morning, December 9th at 10 A.M., services being conducted by Father Ford of Elmwood assisted by Father Pax, former priest here, and were laid to rest in Park Hill cemetery. CARD OF THANKS We extend our grateful thanks to those who assisted in the last sad rites of our husband and father, for the music and flowers and for every kind act and help. Mrs. John Mueller and Family ----------------------------------------------------- Previous week notice [The Syracuse Journal is a weekly paper] WELL KNOWN FARMER DIES. John Mueller, one of the well known farmers of the community, died at his home five and a half miles southwest of Syracuse Wednesday afternoon at about four o'clock. Mr. Mueller has been confined to his home for over a year and for the past few weeks has been quite feeble. Funeral services for the deceased will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 at the Catholic church in Syracuse [St. Paulinus]. -------------------------
