Rohan, well-known merchant and postmaster here, died at the St. -Anthony Hospital in Carroll at 8:20 a.m. today. Afflicted with a jaundice condition, he had been ill for the past two months and a patient at the hospital for twenty days. The body will be returned from the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll to the family residence here this evening to rest until the time of the rites. Rohan, well-known merchant and postmaster here, died at the St. -Anthony Hospital in Carroll at 8:20 a.m. today. Afflicted with a jaundice condition, he had been ill for the past two months and a patient at the hospital for twenty days. The body will be returned from the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll to the family residence here this evening to rest until the time of the rites. Services will be at 9:30 Saturday morning at Holy Family Church, Lidderdale, with the Rev R.J. Quinn, chaplain of the St. Anthony Hospital, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with the exception of a year spent in California because of his health, Mr. Rohan had resided in or near Lidderdale during all of his life. He had been in the general mercantile business here for nearly thirty years and had been post master for the last twenty-three years. At the time of his death, he was head of the firm of J.F. Rohan & Company. A member of a pioneer family, he was born April 9, 1884, a son of Thomas and Julia Rohan, on a Grant Township farm west of Lidderdale. The family later moved to Sheridan Township, and he farmed in his early life. He had lived in Lidderdale for 29 years. Oct 7, 1913 he was married at SS Peter and Paul's church in Carroll to Miss Anna M Snyder of the place. Surviving with his wife are one sister, Miss Abbie Rohan, who has been making her home with him and his wife, and one brother, George Rohan of Omaha. He was preceded In death by his parents and the following brothers and sisters: Dan Rohan, Mrs. Pat Coates (Mary), Mrs. Chet Beers (Lizzie), Mrs. George Harms (Etta) and Thomas Rohan. The last named died in Omaha two years ago.
