Wade, chairman of the Iowa board of control, a brother of Martin J. Wade, democratic national committeeman from Iowa, died here early today. Death resulted from apoplexy. John F. Wade was born in Burlingotn, Vt., April 7, 1859. He removed with his parents to Iowa at an early age and located on a farm in Butler County in 1871. March 3, 1886, he married Mary Dougherty. Of the nine children born, seven now are living. Mr. Wade was engaged in extensive farming operations until he became a member of the board of control. He always has been a democrat in politics. He was elected senator from the Thirty-ninth senatorial district and served in the thirtieth, thirty-first, thirty-second and the special session of the thirty-second general assembly. He was appointed a member of the board of control by Governor Carroll Oct. 1, 1909, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of John T. Wade of Iowa City Had been a member of the Iowa State Board of Control Death due to apoplexy Des Moines, Ia., Sept. 16. - John F. Wade of Ardale, a brother of Martin J. Wade of Iowa City, and for the last four years a member of the state board of control, died at his home here early today. Mr. Wade was stricken with apoplexy last evening. He was appointed a member of the board in 1909 by Governor B.F. Carroll, succeeding John T. Hamilton of Cedar Rapids. Mr. was was 54 years old. He was born in Burlington, Vt., and came to Iowa in 1871, his parents settling in Butler County. He was elected senator from the Butler-Bremer district, serving in the Thirtieth, Thirty-first and Thirty-second sessions, and in the special session of the Thirty-second. He has always been a Democrat in politics.
