Description	:	IS ACCIDENTALLY SHOT - - - - - Frank Schrengrost, Keosauqua Lad, Died Monday from His Wound Received Sunday Frank Schreckengast, a Keosauqua lad, while hunting Sunday afternoon with a friend named Jameson, was accidently shot in the hip and died Monday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schreckengost in Keosauqua. Read More	IS ACCIDENTALLY SHOT - - - - - Frank Schrengrost, Keosauqua Lad, Died Monday from His Wound Received Sunday Frank Schreckengast, a Keosauqua lad, while hunting Sunday afternoon with a friend named Jameson, was accidently shot in the hip and died Monday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schreckengost in Keosauqua. Frank and his friend went into the timber on the Joe Thompson farm, about one-fourth mile south of Keosauqua, to hunt for rabbits about 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Both of the boys saw the rabbit at the same time and just as Jameson raised his gun to shoot Frank stepped in front of it as the shot was fired. The bullet entered the hip, breaking the bones and coming out just above the knee. Mr. Jameson went immediately for aid but it was an hour and a half before aid could be brot. Monday morning it was planned to bring the boys to Ottumwa, but he was so weak from the loss of blood that it was impossible. He was 18 years old. Besides his parents he is survived by two brothers, Ben of Keosauqua and Jonah on the Battleship New Jersey. Source: Van Buren Co.
