I am really working hard on their story. I wonder if Bessie remarried after Fred died and if she had any children? please contact me if you have information. I found in other family trees posted online that Bessie's name was Bessie Martha Leedy and that they married in 1905 in Rolette North Dakota. Does anyone have access to their marriage record to confirm this? And if this info is correct she is on the 1900 Census working in a Hotel at age 20. This Hotel professed healing properties of Pertle Springs Resort. I am wondering if Fred was ill and heard of the magic healing properties of the spring (it was highly advertised) Maybe he met her as she worked at the hotel and he brought her to his family in North Dakota to marry. Sadly he died so young... also looking for Bessie's burial site. Is she buried with him or did she remarry? Bessies father Enoch Leedy died when she was 6 in Warrensburg Missouri 1885 so this makes sense she would be working in a hotel. When you lood at the 1900 census it looks like she is surrounded by theatre actors and actresses Pertle Spring Hotel Owner is President of Water works: James Christopher. the Hotel is gone now but there is interesting reading about it documented online.
