Mustered Out Company G. 20th Regiment U.S. Veteran Reserve Corps on 6 July 1865 at Willimington, DE. DEATH REMOVES AN OLD RESIDENT PIONEER OF COUNTY ANSWERES SUMMONS AT HOME NEAR DUDLEY John H. Cramblit died at his home in Columbia township at 9 o'clock last night after a lingering illness. The funeral will take place from the family home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock to the Columbia Methodist church where a service will be conducted a 3 o'clock by Rev. G. W. Barber. Internment will be in Columbia cemetery. John H. Crambilt was 79 yers of age at time of his death and was one of the pioneers of Wapello county. He was a member of the 114th Ohio regiment and served during the civil war as a defender of the union. He came to love Iowa immediately after the close of the war and settled in Wapello county, making it his home ever since. He is survived by his widow and eight children, Bert, Will and Mrs. J. S. Swenson of Ottumwa; Mrs. George Byrum, Frank and Web Cramblit of Dudley; Dr. L. D. Cramblit of Lake Andes, S. D. and A.J. Cramblit of Memphis, Mo.
