Aggson, a former resident of Stamford, died at his home in Canon City, Colorado, Saturday, 10 October 1925 at the age of 66 years and 6 months. He was a brother of J.R. Aggson of Stamford. Aggson passed away 10 October at 1:30 p.m. at his home 309 1/2 Greenwood Avenue, after a week's illness. Mr. Aggson had an attack of the flu several weeks ago from which he never fully recovered and about a week ago suffered a relapse which caused his death Saturday afternoon. He was born in Iowa City, Iowa on 10 April 1859 and was 66 years and 6 months old. He spent his youth in Iowa, going from there to Nebraska, where he was married to Jennie E. Major on 2 February 1889. To this union were born seven children, one dying in infancy. He moved with his family to Canon City in 1920, where he has since made his home. He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife, two daughters and four sons. They are Dorothy and Jim Aggson of this city; Dolph and Robert Aggson of Larned, Kansas; Mrs. Ennis Notestine of Larned, Kansas and John Aggson of Los Angeles, California. He also leaves three brothers, B.F. and C.R. Aggson of Fort Morgan, Colorado, and J.R. Aggson of Stamford, Nebraska; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Harbert, of Long Beach, California and Miss May Aggson of Macedonia, Iowa. Mr. Aggson had been a member of the Christian church since he was 18 years old. The funeral was held from the Wilson undertaking parlors at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, 13 October, Reverend Burgess officiating. Canon City Daily American. My notes say he was buried in the Woodman Cemetery but can't find a listing in Canon City for that.
