Description	:	Funeral services were held Monday morning at St. Patrick's Catholic Church for John Henry Burke, 98, who died Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edna Coyne, at O'Neill. Father Kenneth Carl officiated at the service. Pallbearers were Gus DeBacker, Leo Moore, Richard Minton, Frank Clements, P. C. Donohoe and Mike Langan. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Burke was born March 10, 1855, in Gage County, Iowa. He was the son of John H. Burke. In 1944, Mr. Burke came to Holt County from South Dakota. He was married Aug. 29, 1882, at Deuel [Gage] County to Bridget Duffin. The couple had four sons and six daughters. Mrs. Burke died in 1943. Since his retirement from farming, Mr. Burke had lived with Mrs. Coyne at o'Neill. he was in reasonably good health until five weeks ago, when he became ill. He is survived by two sons, Thomas of Summitt, [Summit] S. D., and John F. of Ft. Pierre, S. D.: and six daughters, Mrs. Etta Jensen of Lilly, S. D., Mrs. Lawrence O'Malley of Chambers, Mrs. Nellie Maloney and Mrs. John Becking of Webster, S. D., Mrs. Coyne of O'Neill and Mrs. Dale Winjun of Watertown, S. D.
